Plantation Peach Barbecue Chicken
This sweet, barbecue-tasting chicken is perfect for any summertime meal.
2/3 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1/3 cup peach jam
10 to 14 (3-1/2 pounds) Gold'n Plump® Chicken Drumsticks
4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and halved
Prepare grill for medium indirect heat. Position grill rack about 6 inches above coals.
To make basting sauce, stir together barbecue sauce and jam in small bowl.
Lightly oil grill rack and place chicken on it. Cover and grill for about 40 to 50 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. Baste frequently with basting sauce during the last 10 minutes.
Also during the last 10 minutes, grill peaches over direct heat, turning occasionally, until lightly browned.
Accompany each serving of chicken with one grilled peach half.
When grilling this chicken, it’s best to use indirect heat because the sweet basting sauce may burn over high heat.
Gold'n Plump® Bone-in Thighs may be substituted for Gold'n Plump® Chicken Drumsticks.
